Whingate, Leeds

Whingate is a new build distribution centre. The design provides 120,000 ft² of storage with 18m high eaves within a portal frame to accommodate racks of clothing bound for well-known high street retailers around the world. The scheme had sensitive planning issues and required the heavily contaminated site to be remediated and re-graded as part of a challenging programme Construction completed in Winter 2003 with a Contact Value of circa £3 m
