Market Place, Wetherby

Henry Lax Developments Ltd received four planning refusals and one dismissed planning appeal before our involvement. We adopted a cooperative approach with the Parish Council, Civic and Victorian Societies and reviewed the rationale behind the planning history to achieve planning approval at the first attempt with a sensitive and contemporary addition to the historic market town of Wetherby. The restaurant and retail unit were completed in 2004. Past objections are long forgotten and the building is a regular contender for the annual Wetherby in Bloom award.
